Moving on from the animals, I saw a really cute pattern for a poo bag holder. Yes! A poop emoji!!
I saw someone else finish this work on a Facebook page, Beginners for

Amigurumi. (Amigurumi is the style of crochet that I do). So I found this pattern and used Ricorium yarn in chocolate and white.
I started this pattern at the base and worked up. This was the first time ever doing a "chain method" start. This method allows you to create an oblong shape, while still working in continuous circles which most amigurumi patterns call for. (The most common start in amigurumi is called "magic ring" which creates a circular base). With the chain method you work both the "normal" side of the chain and the reverse, the latter being the difficult part. Ontop of this It's not recommended to use darker coloured yarn when beginning due to the dificulty of seeing the stitches. So you can imagine using a "chocolate" coloured yarn in a new technique was not fun.
Once I over came the first round issues this pattern was fairly simple to complete. It was worked as one peace doing increases and decreases on the sides to create the bumps was a lot of fun. Beside the base, the only other issue was the mouth hole. This

is done by stoping in round and creating a chain before pick the roucnd back up. While a simple and easy step, this was the first time ever doing such a thing and did boggle my brain but the affect worked perfectly and was a fun skill to learn. while the original pattern called for a more twisted and poo like look, I opted to just createvarious loops to attach a keychain to.
For the finishing touches I also varied from the patter. The pattern calls for felt and glue, whereas I decided to do 2 round of the the magic cirle and use safty eye, this created the same affect with supplys i had avaliable to me.
All in all a easy and fun pattern, he now lives on the kitchen door housing the garden poo bags as my mum loved him to much to risk him to the elements.
