So Mogwai became one of them item that I put down and completely forgot about, the wo

rse part is I only had one horn to sort out.
So on my Facebook group the creator showed off her mini monster and I fell in love. I had some fluffy yarn laying around so was excited to start. I put everything on hold for this little guy.
The pattern was a fairly simple concept you first create a ball in BLO then you SLST the fluffy yarn into the FL of the ball, seemed easy. Originally I was going to make two, a cream one and a black one, but it turns out the cream yarn wasnt fluffy or thick enough for this project so had to abandon him half way through.
The creation took one day. As is I said you creat a ball im BLO then SL ST the fluff into the stitches. I did ignore the instructions about stopping the fluff at a certain point because of attaching the feet, which made me job harder than need be but was worth it in the end as it looked amazing.
The interesting part was the mohawk. Now this isn't a must the pattern do show step without it but I wanted to give it a go. So it a crochet rectangle, which is

worked in rows rather than rounds. once attched to the mini momnster you then loop strands of yarn through this rectangle sheet. Now the pattern calls for onely set rows to be done but i wanted it puffy so i made sure every stitch had a hair loop. Once you done this you then use a wire brush to push these strandle till you get the right amount of puff... This was the funnist part by far.
Then the feet, these were a Ch start quite simple, but I did have to add more round to make them longer as they didnt look right at the desired size the creator suggested.
Finally the horns were last just a basic Magic circle till reached a desired height. v

ery simple I made these match the feet.
Put it all together and what do you get... Mogwai. Now he was to go to my parnter but I loved him to much to give him up now he lives on my keys.
